Abstract

In this study, internet usage periods are examined concerning adolescents who exercise regularly and those who do not exercise, aiming to determine whether these variables are different from regular sedentary individuals. Adolescents between the ages of 14-18, who exercise regularly, who formed a group of 37 athletes, and 37 teenagers who do not exercise, who formed a control group, participated voluntarily in the study. All participants were administered a questionnaire to assess socio-demographic data and the duration of internet usage. T-test was used for statistical analysis. According to the findings, the duration of internet usage of adolescents who exercise regularly was found less than the control group who do not exercise. Nevertheless, no statistically significant difference was found between the two groups (p>0.05), concerning this parameter, for the studied cohort.
