Abstract
The treatment of the sports injuries involving muscles, tendons, ligaments and capsules includes rehabilitation, oral medication, surgery and injection therapies. The aims of the injection therapies are to eliminate pain, to accelerate return to sports and play, and to support the diagnosis. The physicians must possess thorough knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, and the important landmarks of the injection therapies. Compliance with the safety and antisepsis rules is as important as the application. The subject is reviewed together with current literature.
