Abstract
Musculoskeletal ultrasound usage more widely takes part in the sports medicine field nowadays. In this article, the topics of basic structural sonographic view of muscle, tendon and connective tissues; the associated invasive applications and techniques, the contribution of ultrasonography in medical publications and sports medicine specialist education are reviewed and discussed.
